THE PLANNING PHASE
It took us several months to decide how we are going to travel. In the beginning, we planned to buy an old fire truck, restore it and build a box on it. However, as
- the fuel consumption of these trucks is very high (30 to 35 liter /100 km),
- we don't have a drivers license for big trucks and
- the driving speed is comparably low,
- Marian will use the vehicle for his outdoor retreats, which mark the starting point of his 6 month coaching program. Therefore, the car needs to have at least two separate beds that fit adults.
- Descent offroad capabilities to allow us travelling through Iceland
- Fuel consumption way below 20l/100km
- Ability to carry a box about 4.5 to 5 meters
